I saw something similar except the kid just booked it from the yard to the middle of the street and got tapped. EVERYONE wanted to kill this dude and they all lied to the cops. They got pretty pissed when the cop let them go and educated residents that bearing false witness and lying will get you an appointment before the court. (Dude had a camera on the dash and was going 20 mph down a very well used road and stopped maybe an inch to far, hence the tap.)
