Florida has a limited selection of venomous snakes I believe 6 and three are rattlesnakes which is a pretty easy identifier. In the US it's super easy to learn to identify the ones native to your state. It certainly wasn't a coral or copperhead. The big one is folks confusing water snakes for water moccasins but can be easy if you can check the shape of the head. Pit vipers are triangular and the water snakes are just kinda derpy. Note: venomous snakes can get that big, never use size as a singular identifier.
